Proofreading and editing

Editing involves correcting grammatical and spelling errors and possibly refining the style and accuracy of quotations in the text.

Proofreading involves correcting errors in typographical style, typos, and punctuation errors.

These two processes are often referred to as “proofreading” in everyday speech, but they are different. Proofreading refers to the spelling and linguistic correction of the original text and providing advice to the author on how to further improve their work.

Court interpreters are authorized to produce translations, and inevitably, proofread, edit, and correct their own translations. In addition, court interpreters are authorized to proofread, edit, and correct someone else’s translation into a foreign language. Proofreading and editing texts in Croatian is carried out by graduates of Croatian studies.

Multilingual combinations with 21 European languages are also possible.
